While I am still working on figuring Substack out, let me introduce myself: My name is Jay Allan, and I write about Personal Knowledge Management, Personal Growth, and Software Engineering. I am doing this to get better at writing while hoping to meet new people and maybe even help someone along the way.

Topics in the future will include:

• Personal Knowledge Management frameworks (PARA, Zettelkasten, etc.) and tools (Logseq, Obsidian, Notion, etc.).

• Notes and reviews on books and podcasts in the areas of Software Engineering and Personal Growth.

• Curated links to interesting content I have discovered and may act as food for thought.

• Day-to-day life and work at Software Development companies from the perspective of Engineering Management.

• Working in multi-cultured environments and life abroad.

• Growing your career as a Software Engineer.
